At The Refillery TC it is our goal to make your visit easy & enjoyable. We know how intimidating bulk shopping can be when you are first starting out, but once you know the routine it's a breeze! There's a 99.9% chance that at some point you will spill, overfill or end up with a lotion explosion. It happens to us too (more than we like to admit), it's part of the refilling fun so PLEASE don't feel the need to apologize or let it deter you from bulk shopping.
Can I bring my own containers in the store to refill?
YES! We actually prefer it! Just make sure whatever container you bring is CLEAN and DRY. It can be glass, plastic or aluminum.
I don't have a container to fill or I forgot mine at home!
We have a variety of glass and aluminum containers for purchase from 2 to 64 ounces. We also always have a selection of donation jars that you are welcome to use free of cost!
What is the refill process?
When you arrive to The Refillery, bring your container to the register so that we can tare it for you. If you would like help filling or have questions about what product would work best for you, don't hesitate to ask! You can fill your container as much or as little as you want. Bring your container back to the register to be weighed again. High five, you just saved a container from living a single use life.
How are products packaged when you buy them? Am I really minimizing single use plastic?
Great question! Most of the products are delivered in 5 gallon buckets or carboys. Some of our suppliers take back our containers once they're empty to sterilize, refill and send back to us filled with product. If a company doesn't take them back, we repurpose, recycle or send to local companies to up-cycle! . Need a bucket? Want to know how a specific company operates? Can I sample a product?
We do not currently offer samples, but are looking into smaller jar sizes for this very reason (as well as for travel size uses). Stay tuned!
What is the return policy?
We are unable to accept returns for refills under ANY circumstances. All body & skincare products are final sale for health and safety reasons. Other products may be returned within 14 days for refund of the total product cost, minus shipping fees. Any returned products must be in completely new, unused, re-sellable condition and are subject to the store's approval. You'll also need the receipt or proof of purchase. The buyer pays return shipping fees, and must contact us to receive a return authorization at email@example.com
Do you ship?
Refillable products are available in store only. We will gladly ship our other sustainable products anywhere in the U.S. We ship via USPS since they swing by your residence daily. Orders over $125.00 ship free. We try to reuse shipping materials as frequently as possible and encourage you to do the same!
